This year, my New Year’s resolution was one word: AGGRESSIVE.
My goals were to
- AGGRESSIVELY serve God,
- AGGRESSIVELY become the joyful, creative and authentic woman he wanted me to be, and
- AGGRESSIVELY bloom where I am planted.
I wanted to:
- create and teach Women’s Bible Studies that are relevant to our lives today,
- become a better speaker and teacher,
- become a better writer and illustrator,
- publish the novels, cookbooks, children’s books, bible studies, organizational books and journals that flow from my creative soul,
- create better blogs for my readers,
- publish and produce my original patterns in a digital format, and
- create online course in interior design
Unfortunately, as sometimes happens, the learning process has interfered with the doing process. I apologize for this. I am aggressively entering the productive phase now. I hope you feel that it benefits you in a personal way. :)
During the past months, I have participated in several summits and watched dozens of webinars. I have spent hours in research, both on-line and off, and filled several large composition books with hand-written notes. Whew! It has felt like returning to school.
To be honest, much of this was informative and very helpful. Sadly, some of it was a total waste of time. I have learned that some people give real quality in their free webinars and inspire trust in your decision to purchase courses from them. Others gush over brightly throughout and only tell you what they will give you if you purchase the larger, more expensive bundles. This sort leaves one with sense that they just robbed you of an hour of your valuable time. Surprisingly, these “worthless” webinars often have superior lists and graphics. With that type of talent, the producers have wasted valuable opportunities to be fantastic teachers.
I think I can honestly say which type of courses I intend to offer.
Several years ago I designed and taught 21 on-line interior design courses for Piedmont Technical College.
I have sorely missed teaching interior design! In the coming months, I will be offering several courses, which offer an introduction to interior design. These courses will be geared toward those wanting to act as their own interior designer as well as those who think they would like to take their talents and offer their design services to the public. I promise to bring you my passion for design and my love for teaching. I ask that you bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We will make a great team!

Today, I am asking for your input. What is your background? What type of course would appeal to you? What aspects of interior design do you want to learn? Would you be interested in participating in a short, free course to see if my program would appeal to you?
As always, I look forward to your questions and comments.
I hope you are living a joyous, authentic, and creative life!
