The days have flown by and October is nearly gone! Like so many of you, I am absorbed in seasonal chores. I will not put in a fall garden this year. However, I am working on soil amendments and moving overgrown shrubbery so that I can put in my new cottage flower garden.
I am very interested in raised garden beds for landscaping and edibles. In years past, we used railway ties to create our garden beds. Now, creative gardeners have made these beds into works of art, while reaping the benefits of their gardens. Raised beds may be made from wood, stone, cinder blocks, metal water troughs or tires.
